Hi, my name is Bec. Welcome to my Studio, I’m so glad you’re here. My passion is painting. I am continuously dreaming and bringing those dreams to fruition. I aim to infuse functionality with beauty. I find these roles deeply intertwined, perhaps even inseparable, so I’ve found myself being drawn to surface pattern design. Transporting artworks into more places for people to enjoy. I live in the North Shore of Auckland with my husband and two young boys. Each morning after the school drop-off, I take walks with my Schnauzer near the beach. These walk are where I get so much of my inspiration, as the ever-changing sea offers mesmerising beauty every day. Nature serves as my primary inspiration, with my signature style characterized by calm moments, subtle detail, and restrained compositions. I use multimedia techniques, such as combining watercolor paints, acrylic paints, and pan pastels, to create texture, ambiguity, and refinement. I graduated from Elam School of Fine Art in 2006, majoring in design. After spending two years working in London design agencies, I have been working as an illustrator and designer in Auckland for over 16 years. Studio Bec embodies a unique vision and style, evolving into something beautiful and meaningful. And I hope that you enjoy.
