Hi, I’m Kimba. I started playing with clay as an outlet from my wonderful but intense midwifery work, and now it has completely taken over my days!  I make a range of tableware as well as sculptural pieces. I am a sponge for learning new techniques, so my work is constantly evolving as I try to challenge myself further. I strive to create work that not only functions well, but gives the holder joy, with the subtle imperfections and variations that make handmade ceramics so special. Luckily, I get to work from my home studio in the foothills of Pirongia Mountain, you’ll find me there most days, with the occasional interruption to catch a baby!
