My name is Tracey-Lea Morgan, a New Zealand artist creating from my home studio in the Wairarapa. I'm a covert gestural colourist presenting as a detail-obsessed, pattern-making glitterist. I create bold, expressive artworks bursting with color, movement, and sometimes, a touch of shimmer. For me, pattern is identity—a visual language that connects us to memory, place, and culture. The motifs we grow up with, the prints woven into our surroundings, the textures of fabric, wallpaper, and architecture—all of these leave an imprint. Patterns shape the way we see and remember the world. My work explores these connections, layering intricate details and gestural energy to spark recognition, nostalgia, and personal meaning.
