30 x 40cm original painting. Acrylic on canvas. Maunga Titirangi, also known as Kaiti Hill, is my favourite landscape to paint. Visible from my dining room table, I love to watch the changes on the hillside as the sun rises and sets. This scene was painted in May, with beautiful pastel toned clouds contrasting with the deep colours of the hill. Rich bronze and olive green tones for the hills and delicate pale pinks, blues and greys for the sky.
