Handmade in Te Matau ā Māui Hawkes Bay, Aotearoa. Sweet Keeps is made by myself, Katie from repurposed fabrics. I create one-of-a-kind items from post-consumer textiles and manufacturing by-products. In other words op-shop finds and kind people gift or sell me their scrap fabrics. I cherish these materials giving them a second chance and keeping them from a sad, long, end of life in landfill. I'm dedicated to zero waste by keeping every little off-cut i make turning it into patchwork or fill. My background in design and the journey of motherhood sparked the idea to create sweet, sustainably made backpacks. Sweet Keeps has now grown to be worn and loved by adults just as much as kids. Each product is slowly sewn with a lot of love and care for you to treasure. You’ll find backpacks, tote bags and plenty more designs to come. It's my dream to create a better future, one sweet, sustainable piece at a time

This is the third bag I’ve bought from Sweet Keeps and I couldn’t be happier! Such a beautiful, well made bag, with nice deep pockets, not to mention so comfy to carry around! I also love that Sweet Keeps is a no waste business! Extremely happy with my purchase!

I absolutely love my new bag! It is so beautifully made with nice long straps and decent sized interior pockets. The side pockets are a perfect fit for my drink bottle (or a bottle of wine!) and my laptop easily fits inside to be able to used for work. Delivery was super quick- arriving the next morning after ordering. Thank you!!
