Loma was founded by leather artisan Rebecca Lloyd in 2021, born from a love for making beautiful, functional things and a desire to create unique products that are made to last and age with character. Each bag and accessory is meticulously handcrafted in small batches, using premium full-grain bovine leather. Embracing the inherent character of each hide, with its natural markings and colour variations, ensures that every piece is distinct. As the leather ages it softens and beautifies, developing a distinctive patina that is unique to each piece. At Loma, sustainability and ethics are a priority, sourcing only the finest full-grain leather from reputable tanneries worldwide. Our commitment to quality extends to the solid brass hardware featured in all our products, with an antique finish that adds a touch of vintage style. Designed with an eye for detail, minimal timeless pieces that are not subject to the changing trends of fast fashion. We design, cut, make and ship all our products from right here in Mangawhai, New Zealand The name "Loma" holds deep personal significance, paying homage to Rebecca's cherished Godmother-like figure—a woman of style, vitality, and unwavering support throughout her life's journey. In Fijian, "Loma" is said to mean "Love," a fitting tribute to both the passion for her craft and the enduring memory of a remarkable woman.
