Ko Bryony Puketapu au. I tipu ake au Te Awakairangi. Ko Te Āti Awa ki te Whanganui-a-Tara me te Kuki Airani ōku iwi. I am a maker of ngā mea | things, and come from a whānau of talented makers. Making, reusing and problem solving have always been a part of my life, and influence many memories of my childhood. I blend these memories into the forms I make as a way to strengthen my connection to my tīpuna, being unapologetically Māori, and as a tool in reclaiming of my reo. Here you will find the spoils of exploring many whakaaro. I work mostly in uku, but occasionally revive a love of other materials and techniques. Nau mai, haere mai.
