My jewellery inspiration comes from many forms, including music, fashion, architecture, our beautiful and diverse environment here in Aotearoa and my Maori heritage. I work with mainly gemstones and pearls finished with sterling silver or gold-filled components. The pearls, I love for their sheer elegance and charm and the gemstones for their sense of mystery and the stories they evoke. Also, I enjoy the rawness of hand-stamping on metal, an age-old technique that has transformed over time. I use the finest materials and gemstones I can find to hand-craft my pieces, with a focus on timeless design and simplicity, but with a modern edge. My jewellery is a reflection of everything I love in life...an interplay of mindfulness, fun and spontaneity.
