100% Canterbury clay medium tumbler with a satin matte lichen (beige) or toast (burnt orange) glaze. Hand blended clay, electric fired in New Brighton, Canterbury. Approx 200ml. Dishwasher and microwave safe. Perfect for tea coffee or a cold beverage. ~Each tumbler may have slight variations in clay and glaze as they are all handmade, you will notice small cracks, sand and stones in the clay itself as it is minimally processed~

What clay do you use?
Over the last year I have developed my own blend of 100% Canterbury clay. I have created a blend of clay from two Canterbury deposits. Kakahū and Glentunnel. I currently access this raw clay through the Canterbury brick works in Darfield. I mix these two clays together, before sieving it and drying it out.
How do you fire your pottery?
In an electric kiln in my shared studio. I fire to cone 8 (1240 deg C).
